ABOUT RDR

To ensure continuity of public service following the unsuccessful renewal of the towage concession in December 2020, the Douala Port Authority took over this activity as a public operating entity under Decree No. 2019/034 of 24 January 2019 reorganizing the Douala Port Authority. The activity has been operated since 1 January 2021 under an entity initially named “Régie Déléguée du Remorquage”.

Following the 108th session of the Board of Directors of the Douala Port Authority, the former delegated towage entity was transformed into a limited company now known as Société Anonyme Régie du Remorquage (RDR S.A.), a subsidiary of the Douala Port Authority.

For its activities, RDR S.A. currently operates a fleet of five tugboats.
